“Maybe it’s destined na ako ang makatagpo sa ’yo. Siguro ayaw ng Diyos na mapahamak ka.”
“Siguro nga,” sang-ayon ni Kristen kay Samuel. May namuong luha sa sulok ng mga mata niya.
“It’s okay now, Kristen…” masuyong bulong nito. He held her hand. “Hindi mo kailangang magalala. Nothing can harm you as long as I’m alive.”
His eyes met hers. He kissed her. She knew she was not supposed to let these things to happen. Pero makulit ang puso niya.
She kissed him back. She would let tomorrow take care of itself.
